On July 8th, 2009 DonJon Services held a special day long class in the basics of building demolition. Held at the former Somerville, NJ Grade School complex the lesson was simple. Demolish and process the existing 2 story brick structure during a typical school day. Class started at 7:30 and class was dismissed at 3 PM. Students were allowed one break and 1/2 hour lunch. Since the school was permanently closed and slated for demolition class was held at a safe distance in the parking lot of an adjacent structure. No unauthorized people were allowed within the confines of the demolition site.
